Job description

Job Title: Account Assistant

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch.

Salary: GBP27,500 per annual (GBP13.22ph)

Location: Burton on Trent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Account Assistant to join our longstanding client on a permanent basis!

What will I be doing?
  1. Processing of sales invoices and receipts in a timely manner.
  2. Conduct reconciliations of bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.
  3. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  4. Sending statements to clients.
  5. Checking and posting of wage invoices.
Skills required:
  1. Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred but not essential.
  2. Familiarity with Sage and Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is preferred.
  3. Strong numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Excellent organisational skill with a capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  5. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues across various departments.
  6. A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to learn new processes.
