Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Salary: £12.82 per hour
Start Date: Easter 2025 / September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time Permanent (Part-time can be arranged for the right candidate)

Duties of Academic Support Assistant:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with their learning.
• Help students stay on track with their lessons and achieve their best results.
• Assist teachers with preparing materials and activities.
• Create a positive and friendly classroom environment where students feel safe and confident.
• Encourage students to develop good study habits and stay engaged in their work.
• Keep track of student progress and share feedback with teachers.

Requirements:

• A genuine interest in supporting students and helping them succeed.
• Good communication skills to work with students, teachers, and staff.
• The ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
• An up-to-date CV covering last 10 years explaining any gaps and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or a willingness to apply for a new one.
• A willingness to work closely with students and support their learning.
