If you are a graduate aspiring to become a fully qualified teacher and looking to gain valuable experience working with young people in an educational environment, this Academic Support Assistant position based in a brilliant Secondary School in Camden is just for you! Within this role, you will work alongside knowledgeable Subject Teachers to aid in the students' academic progress.

As an Academic Support Assistant, you will discuss and review student progress, creating structured learning resources. You will work 1:1 and in small groups with students to assist them in their areas of academic weakness, tailoring the way you deliver the sessions to suit the needs of SEN students (ASD, ADHD, SP&L etc).

This role is perfect for aspiring Teachers, providing you with the opportunity to gain valuable in-class and out-of-class experience before pursuing your PGCE or Teacher Training.

The Head Teacher advocates for continuous development, offering Teacher Training to suitable graduates in September 2025 after completing a full academic year at the school.

Academic Support Assistant: JOB SPEC

• Working with students across KS3, KS4 & KS5
• Providing regular feedback to Teachers following interventions
• Actively supporting students within 1:1 and small group support sessions
• Leading structured academic interventions in core subjects (Maths, English & Science)
• ASAP Start - Full-time position
• £105 - £110 per day - Term time only
• Based in Camden

• Hold a 1st Class or 2:1 Degree from a reputable University
• Strong A Levels & GCSEs

• Previous experience working with young people (Tutoring, Mentoring etc)
• Be able to work collaboratively in a wider team
