Study Group Digital Learning are proud to be delivering an innovative online program for ambitious high-school students in the Middle East. The program is a part-time, digital course designed to provide students in their final years of high school with a comprehensive grounding in the subject knowledge, study skills, and insights they need to make a successful undergraduate university application. The program will be delivered through timetabled synchronous lectures, seminars, and tutorials as well as through the provision of engaging asynchronous activities.

The Program Director will lead the development of an innovative and successful digital university preparation program for high school students. You will do this through strong leadership and a clear vision of what success looks like. You will ensure excellent student outcomes, quality assurance, and continual enhancement. You will be responsible for managing the Program Leads as well as ensuring effective delivery by others in the Program team.

Reporting to the Director of Digital Learning, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships to ensure effective collaborative working and excellent communications and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the wider Program team ensuring that people managers are leading their teams consistently, effectively, and compassionately.
  • Measuring and tracking people’s contribution to the company objectives and developing their potential.
  • Encouraging adherence to diversity, inclusion, and belonging in everything we do.
  • Creating an environment that attracts, maintains, and develops people in whatever role they do.
  • Recruiting the highest calibre of people ensuring adherence to safeguarding and hiring compliance in collaboration with central teams.
  • Ensuring the Program is run as efficiently as possible within agreed budgets.
  • Collaborating with central teams to ensure that the management information data for costs is both accurate and timely.
  • Creating an environment where all staff are treated with respect and dignity and that they treat students in the same manner.
  • Ensuring teaching is effective and efficient. Observations are conducted to ensure the quality of learning, teaching, and assessment in accordance with the strategy and guidance.
  • Maintaining an environment where all staff have an opportunity to contribute to the success of the Program and have opportunities for development.
  • Maintenance of excellent standards for safeguarding.
  • Acting as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Ensuring that pastoral care standards are excellent.
  • Ensuring student attendance and engagement with their studies is high and if not, robust procedures are in place to rectify.
  • Ensuring full compliance with external bodies or Program partner requirements.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of student induction, timetabling, learning, and teaching within costs and on budget.
  • Effective development of curriculum and conduct of fair assessments.
  • Implementing suitable monitoring and reporting for different stakeholder audiences.
  • Implementing approaches to capture student voice on the Program and manage feedback and complaints.
  • Ensuring effective learning practice and use of technology.
  • Ensuring full compliance with any external body or partner requirements.
  • Ensuring relevant records are accurate and up to date.
  • Ensuring effective communication.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree – Essential
  • Leadership and/or management training or demonstrable experience of leading complex educational programmes for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Teaching qualification - Essential
  • Experience in leading in an academic environment.
  • Experience in developing annual budgets and managing finances against an agreed budget.
  • Experience in planning and running complex education courses and programmes.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and engagement in complex environments.
  • Involvement in Key Project(s).
  • Experience with University Application processes and advice.
  • Knowledge of the International Student environment.
  • Experience in teaching in UK secondary, further education or pathway sector and/or teaching international students.
  • Experience in leading and facilitating change.
  • Experience in leading and/or working in digitally enabled environments.
