Your Role

EF Oxford is currently looking for a Summer Academic Coordinator to join our vibrant and diverse academic team, supporting our Summer Academic Manager and ensuring the smooth administration of our academic programmes. The role runs from June – August 2025, on a fixed term contract and with permanent opportunities available afterwards.

Responsibilities

  1. To ensure the smooth, effective administration of the academic programme
  2. To ensure students receive the highest levels of customer service in the Academic department
  3. To support the Academic/Teaching team by ensuring the smooth day to day running of the department
  4. Manage timetabling, ensuring all students are allocated to appropriate classes taking into account special requests and additional courses (e.g. Global Leadership Camp), all classes are allocated to appropriate rooms and working with the Summer Academic Manager to ensure teachers are properly assigned to classes
  5. Ensure timetables are finalised in a timely manner for students and teachers and are accurate
  6. Conduct regular checks on teacher administration, upload records of work, and provide feedback as directed by Summer Academic Manager
  7. Cover for teacher absence
  8. Share emergency duty on a rota basis
  9. Deal with student enquiries, problems and complaints as required
  10. Assist with attendance monitoring (attendance check, follow up, issue of attendance letters, etc)

Requirements

  1. Qualified TEFL teacher
  2. Customer service focused with excellent communication and people skills
  3. Enjoy working in a busy & varied environment
  4. Ability to handle difficult situations with ease, remaining calm & positive under pressure
  5. This is a live-in position where accommodation and full board is provided at no extra cost, with some residential requirements attached
  6. All offers are subject to a clear DBS check and two references
  7. Right to work in the UK
  8. C2 level of English
