JOB DESCRIPTION

L6 SOCIAL RESEARCHER

Northeastern University London is looking for an academic expert in Social Policy Research to act as a consultant on its new BSc in Applied Social Research.

Working with the team from the University’s Centre for Apprenticeships, the Consultant will be responsible for designing a new 360-credit undergraduate degree programme for the University which satisfies the apprenticeship standard ST1341 Social Researcher.

The duties of the successful applicant will be:

  1. To design the BSc in Applied Social Research
  2. To ensure that the programme maps to, and satisfies, the apprenticeship standard
  3. To write the programme specification
  4. To write course descriptors for the programme’s courses
  5. To participate in quality/validation events and incorporate feedback from these events into the documentation

Timeframe:

We are looking to recruit as soon as possible and would look for the completion of the above duties across a period of up to 3 months.

Remuneration:

Northeastern University would expect to pay a fixed fee of approximately £6,000 on completion of the above duties.
