A Licensed Aircraft Engineer - LGW

A new opportunity has arisen with my client for an A Licensed Engineer.

Role: A Licensed Engineer
Salary: Upon Application
Location: Gatwick
Hours: 40 hours a week - Permanent Role

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain acceptable airworthiness, safety, and performance standards in their delegated areas of responsibility while striving to uphold customer OTP record.
2. Uphold the terms of any authorisation gained as required by the Head of Compliance ensuring the highest quality standards of work carried out by themselves and staff under their control.
3. Ensure the accomplishment of maintenance within responsible area using manpower and resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
4. Ensure all relevant Station, EASA and CAA regulations are met.
5. Assess and bring to the attention of the Station Manager any H & S issues.
6. Ensure all company and legal requirements regarding aircraft/component inspection and production documentation are duly complied with.
7. Establish and maintain a good relationship between all line station personnel and interfacing departments.
8. Aid the Customer Airlines on-time performance record.
9. Maintain awareness of all H & S obligations and responsibilities.
10. Establish and maintain good communication across their shift and interfacing departments.
11. Keep Customer MOC informed at all times about the serviceability and maintenance condition of the aircraft.
12. Maintain awareness of the latest Technical Instructions, NTE's and Procedures from all sources.
13. At the beginning of each shift, be conversant with any ongoing problems and aid the Shift Leader to maintain an accurate shift Log throughout the duty period.
14. Carry out tasks as detailed by the Shift Leader and Station Manager.
15. Ensure vehicle and ground equipment checks are completed and certified to comply with CAP 642 requirements.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

1. Effective management, development, and motivation of the team.
2. UKCA A Licence - Essential.
3. UK Driving Licence - Essential.
4. Maintain a working knowledge of maintenance procedures ensuring strict adherence while carrying out line work tasks.
5. Maintain acceptable airworthiness, safety, and performance standards in their delegated areas of responsibility.
6. Maintain a high standard of written daily maintenance handovers.
7. Ensure the accomplishment of maintenance and inspection tasks within responsible area using resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
