Job description

Pulse is currently seeking a determined band 8a Clinical Psychologist to be welcomed into our client’s NHS team, based in Bournemouth, Dorset. This position will be available for the appointed Clinical Psychologist to start as soon as possible, working full time hours for a 3-month period.

This post involves working within a service that provides inpatient care for young people whose care needs are best met in a hospital setting. As part of the post, there is an opportunity to be funded to complete training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and/or EMDR.

The Team consists of a Highly Specialist Family Therapist / Service Lead, Consultant Pediatrician, Specialist Dietician, and Physical Activity Specialist. The team will provide care and support for children affected by excess weight in the community. A systemic biopsychosocial approach is key to the project ethos.

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • Be HCPC registered
  • Have a proven track record in a CAMHS role
  • Be analytical and show good attention to detail
  • Have a proven record of supervision experience
