Job description

Job Opportunity: 6x JIB Electricians (Industrial)

Location: Wrexham

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: 24 - 25 per hour CIS

Hours: 50-60 hours per week

Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking 6x JIB Electricians (Industrial) to start immediately on a site in Wrexham, must have experience working on large industrial sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical systems including motors, control panels, switchgear, and distribution boards.
  • Interpreting and working from electrical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Carrying out cable containment installations such as tray, trunking, conduit, and basket systems.
  • Performing cable pulling and terminations for power and control systems, including SWA (steel wired armoured) and MICC cables.
  • Testing and inspecting electrical installations in accordance with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Diagnosing electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Ensuring all electrical work is completed in line with health and safety legislation and site-specific risk assessments.
  • Working in hazardous environments such as factories, processing plants, and manufacturing sites with strict safety protocols.
  • Installing and maintaining control systems including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), motors, and variable speed drives (VSDs).
  • Collaborating with other trades and site managers to ensure smooth project delivery and coordinated work schedules.
  • Carrying out maintenance on emergency lighting systems, fire alarms, and backup generators where required.
  • Completing relevant documentation including job sheets, test certificates, and time reports.
  • Adhering to JIB standards of workmanship, ethics, and safety at all times.
  • Participating in shutdown works, commissioning, and handovers for large-scale industrial projects.
  • Keeping up to date with industry standards and technical developments through ongoing professional development.
