Job description

This client is a top 5 tech giant and owner of some of the world’s most popular social media platforms and instant messaging apps, connecting billions of people across the globe.

This organisation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced UX researcher to join our team and help us revolutionize the future of work. As a key member of our research team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to multiple research initiatives across the organization, encompassing both foundational and tactical research. Your primary focus will be on understanding the needs and challenges of organizations worldwide and identifying opportunities to enhance their work processes and outcomes.

We are looking for excellent communicators who are knowledgeable about research devoted to understanding people, and curious about the relationship between technology and work. They will also need to be comfortable in a fast-moving organization, open-minded about learning new research methods, committed to high quality and rigorous research, and focused on influencing the future of work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research and/or product research and development, or a Master’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development.
  • Experience conducting In-Depth Interviews or Focus Groups and Concept Testing or Usability Testing.
  • Interest in and experience executing hands-on, primary research.
  • Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product and business teams to identify research topics and act as a thought leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the people who could use our products.
  • Design and execute end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methods.
  • Design studies that address both user behaviour and attitudes.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments, align and efficiently execute critical insights and work with a large group of stakeholders.
  • Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways, working cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, and marketing.
  • Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with consumer products, consumer insights, or product development.
  • Degrees in a human behaviour-related field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics.
