This CNC Miller vacancy is going to be producing parts for some really cool industries and projects. On a daily basis, you can expect to be part programming, setting, and operating on 3, 4, and 5 axis mills. The work can be varied as they are a sub-contractor, so can be anything from 1 off's to small batch runs. They have a team of Production engineers who produce the CAM programs, but as they make their own fixtures, programming at the controls will be required for basic fixture jobs.
The role is also a Monday to Friday position with no shift required, and they offer overtime at 1.5 not 1.3 like most! They currently have lots of extra hours on offer for those that want them.
They are an established sub-contract manufacturer who have gone through a re-vamp in recent years and have earned themselves a great reputation within the Automotive and Motorsport industries for their work. As a business, they have some ambitious growth plans, which the manufacturing team plays a key role in hitting those targets. You can expect a modest working environment that has been recently re-furbished with new machines, gym equipment, kitchen, and modern meeting rooms. The company offers a generous benefits scheme consisting of 25 days annual leave and various insurances and pensions.
They are a mature company with structured processes, so require someone who is a fully skilled and competent machinist. They have Fanuc controls but are open to experience across the range. In regards to qualifications, there is no set in stone requirement, but a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification would be highly advantageous.
