As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer who excels in building and supporting networks, servers, PCs, and other IT equipment for our company and our customers.

Job Description: This role is centred on the installation, configuration, and support of IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and workstations. As an experienced IT Support Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure high-quality IT support services that meet both performance and security standards. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a management role, leading a team of IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and workstations.
  • Provide IT support to our customers, resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Manage the setup and configuration of IT equipment and software.
  • Provide guidance and training to new engineers, focusing on high-quality IT support practices.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation of IT processes and system configurations.

Technical Expertise:

Proficiency in Server 2019 & 2022, Hyper-V, various remote monitoring tools, Veeam Backup, 3cx (Hosted and Self Hosted), HP & Dell servers, Axis / Avigilon CCTV, MAV Systems ANPR, SQL Server, Sharepoint and Office 365 would be beneficial, training will be provided for weaker areas.

A professional qualification such as a Microsoft or Cisco qualification will be a huge benefit. Ability to demonstrate commitment to continuous learning with progress through a certification path will be given preference.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with IT support, including both hardware and software aspects. (3 years +)
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, network devices, and the setup of IT infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in using technical tools and understanding system diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, preparing to take on management responsibilities.
  • Multi-technology experience, spanning Desktop, Server and Networking installation and support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £31,500.00-£38,500.00 per year (Including performance bonuses)

Additional pay:
