Job description

Friday Sundae is looking for a talented and versatile graduate or mid-level 3D character animator to work on a new haunted-house adventure game IP for PC and console.

You'll be developing animation systems, the character animation pipeline for a range of semi-stylised 3D characters and collaborating creatively and technically with Riggers, Artists, and Programmers on a day-to-day basis.

The position provides a rare opportunity for an individual to drive their technical and creative expertise throughout the whole lifecycle of an Indie game.

This is a full-time role working alongside a dedicated and passionate team here in Bristol.

Skills:
  • BA in computer animation, digital arts, media arts, or a master's of fine arts in animation or visual effects.
  • Experience of computer 3D animation techniques, motion design, and camera movement principles.
  • Able to animate characters, objects, and special effects.
  • Experience with Unity with the ability to import, export, and set up the animation state machine and troubleshoot issues.
  • Skilled at working within Maya and motion capture data to create the animations.
  • Good understanding of the 3D rigging process and different technical software.
  • Experience at creating facial expressions and animations in conjunction with blendshapes or similar.
