Job Opportunity: 3D CAD Technician
Our client, a leading tier 1 contractor on the HS2 project, is seeking a talented 3D CAD Technician for their site based in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience as a CAD Technician, demonstrating proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D for advanced 3D modelling tasks. Your technical skills will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of this significant infrastructure project.
About our role
- Conception and creation of methodology of earthworks and drainage
- Ensuring compliancy of the design to the requirements
- 3D modelling of earthworks, landscaping and temporary drainage using Civil 3D
- Producing relevant 2D drawings for the needs of the team
- Material quantities calculation using 3D models in Civil 3D
- Stockpile design and movement planning with Civil 3D and Excel
- To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Management Plans.
- To comply with all Company’s Policies and Procedures.
- To undertake other such reasonable duties appropriate to the role.
About you: Skills & Experience
- Proficient and completely autonomous in Civil 3D
- Good knowledge reading technical plans and extracting relevant information from 2D drawings and 3D models
- Attention to detail to create accurate drawings
- Experience in a BIM environment and GIS processes
- Effective communication skills
- Internal stakeholder engagement experience
- Coordination experience
