2ND LINE / 3RD LINE SYSTEMS SUPPORT – YORK – SERVICES GROUP

If you want to work with an organisation on some of the largest IT Services contracts in the market and have the genuine ability to cross train on new technologies at the same time gaining vendor direct training and certification then please read the below 2nd Line Support role. The position requires someone ready to step into a 3rd line engineer position within the next 12-24 months and someone who is used to working in a demanding, service orientated environment which is growing at a fast pace.

The role includes:

1. Acting as 2nd line technical helpdesk support to external customers, internal staff and systems and hosting environment
2. Support of Windows Server Operating Systems and Server applications including Exchange, SQL Server and IT Security products on internal and Customer systems.
3. Support of virtualisation infrastructure
4. Support of network infrastructure
5. Server maintenance and upgrades
6. Server and client security configuration

Skills / Experience

1. Experience and good working knowledge of Microsoft Server/Client products
2. Good knowledge of computer network system protocols, IP addressing and TCP/IP networking
3. IT Security Products
4. Ability to travel occasionally to client sites
