Team / Role Overview:

The role will be part of the Global Legal Entities Market Risk team. The team oversees the design, implementation and management of Legal Entity limit frameworks. It also ensures common practice across all Legal Entities and countries. The successful candidate must be able to build effective relationships with global colleagues across the Market Risk organisation as well as front office and other groups. The candidate should be willing to further develop their knowledge of the Markets business and of market risk approaches, as well as regulatory governance.

What you’ll do:

1. Help to monitor and establish controls around legal entity level risks.
2. Develop strong materials that help and inform senior management decision making.
3. Communication with trading desks as required.
4. Ability to escalate promptly identified issues such as material risk moves, while working with colleagues on solutions when required.
5. Ensure reports produced by reporting teams reflect accurate risk and highlight any quality issues to control teams.
6. Communication with legal entity risk managers globally to ensure standardisation of processes and governance.

What we’ll need from you:

1. Relevant experience in risk management with good knowledge of markets, products and risk.
2. Experience with portfolio risk measurement techniques including VAR and stress testing.
3. Strong relationship management and liaison with front office teams of all levels while being willing and able to challenge as needed, particularly the front office.
4. Dedication to information integrity and to producing high quality and insightful output required.
5. Good presentation and communication skills both in writing and verbal.
6. Expert experience and facility with Excel including VBA and add-in functions, ideally with experience of Tableau.
