2025 Graduate Small Animal Vet at Shepton Vets, Shepton Mallet, Somerset

Shepton Vets is looking for a new graduate to join our friendly team of small animal vets. You'll work a 4-day week (plus a supported 1:6-1:8 on-call rota) across both of our well-equipped modern branches with in-house endoscopy, laparoscopy, and dental radiography facilities. A sensibly managed diary will include 15-30 mins consulting appointments plus regular breaks. Weekly ops days will give you the opportunity to get involved with interesting surgeries.

You'll be supported by, and learn from, experienced colleagues with certificates in surgery, medicine, exotics, and imaging as well as a helpful and dedicated nursing team. We host weekly team lunches and regular discussion groups, and you will be encouraged to undertake the XLVets Small Animal Graduate Development Programme and other CPD programmes.

We are a very community-focused practice, so you will also have the opportunity to become involved in student vet teaching as well as giving local school talks and taking part in community events. We also like a bit of a get together - from escape room days and summer rounders to a day at the races!
