Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children is our highest priority at Kingsway Primary School we work together to move beyond compliance to a culture of excellence in relation to safeguarding. This includes implementing robust Safer Recruitment practices, without exception.

The post-holder will have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding as part of their professional role.

Prior to appointment, all relevant and necessary safeguarding checks (including online checks of publicly available information) will be undertaken. As part of the shortlisting process, we will carry out an online search of publicly available information as recommended by Keeping Children Safe in Education. This is to identify any potential safeguarding concerns.
