2:1 High Level Teaching Assistant

£25 an hour

Part-time

Northampton

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant or Support Worker who will be working alongside a tutor who has previous experience working with a range of disabilities such as:

1. Physical disabilities
2. Sensory disabilities
3. Cognitive or intellectual disabilities
4. Psychiatric disabilities
5. Neurological disabilities
6. Development disabilities
7. Learning disabilities
8. Speech and Language Disabilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Personal Care Assistance:
   Help with tasks such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and toileting.
   Assist with mobility (e.g., transfers from bed to wheelchair).
   Ensure personal hygiene and cleanliness are maintained.
2. Health and Well-being Support:
   Assist with medication management, ensuring the individual takes prescribed medications at the right time.
   Monitor health conditions and alert health care professionals if required.
   Assist with dietary needs, including preparing meals and ensuring proper nutrition.
3. Emotional and Social Support:
   Offer companionship and emotional support to alleviate loneliness or anxiety.
   Engage in social activities, hobbies, and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
   Provide encouragement and motivational support, helping individuals achieve their personal goals.
4. Assistance with Mobility and Transportation:
   Help individuals move around, whether by walking, using mobility aids, or transportation.
   Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, or community outings as needed.
