An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and driven 1st & 2nd Line Support Technician to join a leading independent European Private Equity fund. This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 and is based in the vibrant city of London. 1ST & 2ND LINE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

What you'll do:


As a 1st & 2nd Line Support Technician, your role will be pivotal in providing first-line support to end-users across various offices. You will be responsible for installing and configuring computer systems and applications within a Microsoft Environment. Your excellent organizational skills will be utilized in maintaining an inventory of all hardware and software assets. You will monitor and maintain computer systems and networks while ensuring compliance with IT policies and procedures. Your role will also involve coordinating with other IT professionals and vendors on various projects.

  1. Provide first-line support to end-users for software, hardware, and network across offices.
  2. Install and configure computer systems and applications (Microsoft Environment) and maintain inventory of all hardware and software assets.
  3. Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, including patch management.
  4. Escalate to Level 3 support with IT service provider.
  5. On-board new joiners.
  6. Assist in IT-related projects such as system upgrades, migrations, deployments, and roll out of new tools.
  7. Coordinate with other IT professionals and vendors.
  8. Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures, especially regarding data protection and cybersecurity.
  9. Document internal procedures, solutions to technical problems, and provide user guides when needed.


What you bring:

  1. Around 2 years of experience in IT Helpdesk support L1 & L2.
  2. Experience with Microsoft environment (Azure AD, Intune, Exchange).
  3. Knowledge of Network technologies (Cisco, Unifi, Fortinet).
  4. Fluency in English; additional European language is an advantage.
  5. Service-oriented mindset.
  6. Pro-active attitude with excellent communication skills.
  7. Well organized with ability to multitask.
  8. High sensitivity towards cybersecurity.
  9. Team player comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment.
