1st/2nd Line Support Technician London (Hybrid)

A great opportunity for an experienced IT support professional to provide 1st and 2nd line technical support, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems across a dynamic business environment. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing the IT helpdesk, maintaining network systems, and assisting users with equipment and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for desktops, systems, and software/hardware incidents.
  2. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, offering solutions and workarounds.
  3. Manage and maintain the IT helpdesk.
  4. Perform routine network maintenance.
  5. Set up and manage user accounts and groups.
  6. Configure, distribute, and administer company equipment for new and existing staff.
  7. Install, maintain, and support new applications.
  8. Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
  9. Maintain professionalism and strong communication with colleagues and suppliers.
  10. Assist with additional tasks as needed by senior management.

Experience & Education:

  1. Minimum 2 years experience in IT support roles.
  2. Basic understanding of the London Market (preferred).
  3. AC grade in IT-related A-Levels or equivalent qualifications.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

Essential:

  1. Windows 10/11 Pro Administration & Support
  2. Windows Server 2012/2019 Administration & Support
  3. Office 365 Exchange Management Console Administration
  4. Active Directory experience
  5. Remote Desktop knowledge
  6. Willingness to travel to other group sites

Desirable:

  1. Helpdesk Management experience
  2. Windows 8 Pro Administration & Support
  3. Network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, WAN/LAN)
  4. iOS and Android OS setup & administration

  2. Ability to build and maintain relationships with staff and external suppliers.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
