Support a Young Learner as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Salary: £95 per day
School Type: Primary
Location: Stratford-upon-Avon Area
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Contract

Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school setting. You will play a key role in helping the student engage with learning, develop social skills, and build confidence within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide 1:1 support tailored to the needs of a student with ASD
2. Assist with classroom activities, sensory breaks, and learning tasks
3. Implement strategies to support communication, engagement, and emotional regulation
4. Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to deliver a personalised learning plan
5. Create a structured, positive environment that helps the student succeed academically and socially

Required Experience:

1. Knowledge and experience of ASD and effective support strategies
2. Previous classroom experience in a primary school setting
3. A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to SEND support
