The School and Role

We're looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student with SEMH needs based in a mainstream primary school in Altrincham. The 1:1 Teaching Assistant would work consistently with the student towards desired outcomes and support them to participate with class-based activities. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to develop and implement strategies tailored to the student’s needs. The 1:1 Teaching Assistant role is long term and full time.

Requirements

The desired 1:1 Teaching Assistant will have:

1. Experience of working with pupils with SEMH needs
2. An ability to help children overcome barriers to learning
3. An ability to lead 1:1 and small group sessions
4. A passion for building confidence, aspirations, and positive behaviours
