1:1 SEN teaching assistant. Job in Monmouth Education & Training Jobs

We are looking for nurturing, resilient and highly motivated Teaching Assistants to join Prospero Teaching. If you're a committed individual who enjoys supporting children in their pursuit of personal bests, then we can offer you work in our schools.

As one of our 1:1 Teaching Assistants, we will look to bring you consistent work, all whilst allowing you to build a real connection with your children. You will be supporting children with SEN and/or additional behavioural requirements and will need to be a patient and caring individual.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

Location: Monmouth and surrounding areas

Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Type of work: Carry out professional duties, responsible for group support/1:1 support, ensure the safety and welfare of pupils, 1:1 support, ASD support, ASD trained

Start Date: Immediate

Rate of pay: 95-105 p/d, subject to assignment

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

EXPERIENCE

Desirable:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (not essential)
• Experience of working with various SEND conditions
• Experience of inclusive classroom practice
• Understanding how to fully support the teacher in the classroom
• Previous experience of supporting learning using a range of strategies, both with groups and on a 1:1 basis

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
