The Role

The successful candidate will:

1. Provide individualised support to a student with SEN, helping them engage with the curriculum.
2. Implement tailored learning strategies in line with the student's EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
3. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to track progress and adapt interventions.
4. Support social and emotional development, ensuring the student feels confident and included.
5. Assist in managing behaviour using positive reinforcement techniques.
6. Create a nurturing and structured learning environment to help the student succeed.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

1. Have previous experience working with SEN students in an educational or care setting.
2. Be patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
3. Have strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
4. Be adaptable and able to respond to the student's evolving needs.
5. Hold (or be willing to obtain) a relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support.
