We work closely with the local authorities, mainstream schools, and SEND Teams in the Essex area specialising in providing qualified and experienced tutors to work with children/young people who are not able to access education in a school setting.

You will be supporting students with special educational and complex needs. This may include those with autism, ADHD, SPD (sensory processing disorder), Speech and Language difficulties, as well as those struggling with mental and emotional challenges such as trauma-induced behaviour, social anxiety, and low self-esteem.

This will be continuous and/or until the student is placed within a suitable school. Following this, we will then set you up ready for your next student.

Job Details:

Location - Braintree
Position - Outreach Tutor
Start date - ASAP
End date (if applicable) - ongoing
Contract type - Temporary
Up to 15 hours per week for each contract
Rate of pay - £25 - £35 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours - Tuition takes place between 08:30 am and 04:30 pm Monday to Friday

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week.
• Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
• Experienced teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD.
• Possess exceptional behaviour management strategies.
• Prepared to work face-to-face within the community.

Requirements:

• Background teaching in English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5.
• QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects.
• Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
• 2 years previous experience working within a UK school.
