Join Our Team at New Way Tuition Ltd!

Are you ready to embark on an exciting educational journey with New Way Tuition Ltd? We're on the lookout for a passionate and dynamic Outreach Tutor to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN)!

About New Way Tuition Ltd:

At New Way Tuition Ltd, we're committed to paving new paths in education. We believe in innovative approaches that ignite curiosity and foster a love for learning. Join us in our mission to empower students of all ages and backgrounds, particularly those with SEN, to reach their full potential and thrive academically.

The Role:

As an Outreach Tutor at New Way Tuition Ltd, you'll be the guiding light for students with SEN seeking academic support. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing education and mentoring to students who do not attend mainstream education due to reasons such as SEN, SEMH, or risk of permanent exclusion. This is a deeply rewarding role with abundant job satisfaction, involving one-to-one and group sessions in subjects including basic Maths, English, PSHE, interventions, and mentoring, conducted at pupils' homes, local libraries, and schools. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of Literacy and Maths, alongside experience working with children, including those with SEND. Our students range from EYFS to Year 11, and we operate up to GCSE/Functional Skills levels. A current Enhanced DBS is essential.

Your mission includes:
  1. Providing personalised tutoring sessions to students with a range of SEN, from complex needs to more minor learning difficulties.
  2. Inspiring and motivating students to overcome obstacles and achieve their academic goals.
  3. Building strong connections with students and their families through clear communication and genuine care.
  4. Adapting teaching methods to suit the unique learning styles and needs of each student, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  5. Incorporating cutting-edge educational technology and resources to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications:

At New Way Tuition Ltd, we value passion and dedication above all. However, here's what we're looking for:

  1. Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, especially with diverse age groups and SEN students. (Needed)
  2. QTS (QTLS), PGCE, or Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Maths, or a related field. (Preferred but not essential)
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for student success.
  5. Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  6. A current Enhanced DBS is essential.

Why Join New Way Tuition Ltd?

Aside from the opportunity to make a real impact on students' lives, particularly those with SEN, joining our team comes with some incredible perks:

  1. A supportive and collaborative work environment.
  2. Access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  3. Competitive salary, flexible working hours, and you can be either self-employed or contracted through an umbrella company.
  4. The chance to be part of a team that's shaping the future of education!

Safeguarding & Compliance

New Way Tuition Ltd prioritises child welfare. Tutors must follow Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and pass strict pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS and reference verification. Tutors are expected to:

  1. Maintain high safeguarding standards
  2. Report welfare concerns
  3. Follow policies and attend training
