Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has this exciting opportunity for an experienced Technologist with experience at a Technologist level to be involved in the Nuclear Medicine services provided across the Trust. The postholder will work with others to provide a seamless service for patients.
The department has its own Radiopharmacy and the post holder will retain responsibility for safe delivery of services as the Radiopharmacy Production manager. They will work with partners across the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care system to provide stability and resilience to the region.
Technologists should be registered on the voluntary RCT and radiographers should be registered with the HCPC.
The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of the Radiopharmacy. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have experience in working in a Radiopharmacy. You will work together with other technologists to ensure there is an effective delivery of the service, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Together with other key staff you will perform a plethora of examinations including Cardiac stress tests.
The successful applicant will be expected to maintain clinical duties including the dispensing and administration of radioactive materials; acquisition of images, analysis and calculation of results and disposal of radioactive waste material when needed.
