Job description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Virtualization Engineer / Implementation Consultant to join a dynamic team focused on large scale virtualization migrations and infrastructure upgrades. This role involves working with enterprise customers to design, implement, and optimise virtualization solutions, with a focus on cloud-native applications, Kubernetes, automation, and scripting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware technologies and next-generation hyperconverged infrastructure solutions, along with expertise in automation to streamline processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute large-scale virtualization migrations from VMware to next-gen HCI solutions
• Design, implement, and optimise virtualization environments to meet customer requirements
• Leverage automation and scripting (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python) for efficient deployments and upgrades
• Work on integrating cloud-native applications, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud environments
• Collaborate with internal teams and end customers to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruptions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex virtualization and cloud infrastructure issues
• Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to client teams

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, vCloud Director, NSX-V, NSX-T, and vRealize
• Proven experience in large-scale data center and cloud migration projects
• Knowledge of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions (preferably Nutanix)
• Expertise in cloud-native applications, Kubernetes, automation, and scripting
• Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Python scripting
• Understanding of hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and software-defined networking (SDN)
• Strong background in infrastructure security, networking, and storage within virtualization environments
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.

Desirable Certifications:

• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or equivalent HCI certification
• VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP) or similar
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus
