Venue Manager - Contract

Round The Corner Bar & Grill in Belmont is an independent, family owned Bar/Bistro/Bottleshop looking for a full time Venue Manager with that little bit of flair and enthusiasm.

The Venue Manager oversees the venue and will work closely with the Kitchen Manager, Assistant Manager, Bottleshop Manager and Duty Managers to ensure the success of the venue!

The successful candidate will exhibit excellent leadership and organisational skills, be open-minded and have a can-do attitude, and enjoy leading a team with high morale and a fun-filled work environment.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Team management - including training and development.
• Administration of the venue - including but not limited to functions, emails, suppliers.
• Full Venue management and operation.
• Maintain high levels of communication with all the venues lower management team and external parties.
• Working with the Kitchen Manager, Bar Assistant Manager, Bottleshop Manager, Duty Managers and owners, for forward planning and ensuring the venue is well presented.

The successful candidate must have:

• Great attention to detail when it comes to Customer Service.
• Solid experience in performing the day-to-day management responsibilities of managing a venue.
• Ability to analyse sales data and implement strategies to sustain and potentially increase profitability.
• Leadership skills, leading from the front with a positive example.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of stock ordering and control.
• Enjoys team management - ensuring high team morale, positive team culture and a fun-filled work environment.
• A hands-on approach with a can-do attitude, open-minded and problem-solving mentality.
• Highly organised, a multi-tasker and pays attention to detail - ensuring a great experience for all customers as well as the team.
• Professional demeanour and ability to maintain high levels of communication with the management team.
• Hold all the necessary Licenses, including but not limited to Unrestricted Approved Managers Card, Drivers’ License & TAB Compliance Certification.
