Adecco is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our client's team - a leader in IT solutions and support. Job Summary

The Desktop Support Technician will provide hands-on support for PC-based computers, mobile devices, and related IT equipment. The position requires technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and attention to detail. You'll play a critical role in diagnosing hardware/software issues, performing installations, asset management, and resolving user concerns to ensure smooth IT operations for both end-users and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues for client PCs, laptops, and mobile devices.
  2. Perform installations and configurations for hardware, software, and peripherals.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve network and local printer issues.
  4. Document repair activities, customer interactions, and inventory updates.
  5. Complete asset management and lifecycle tasks for equipment, ensuring accurate records.
  6. Train clients on basic computer and IT knowledge to empower self-support.
  7. Communicate and collaborate effectively with end-users and team members.
  8. Maintain accountability for ticket progress and aging, ensuring prompt resolution.
  9. Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
  10. Continuously learn internal systems and applications to improve efficiency and support capabilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must-Have:

  1. 2-3 years of experience with Windows 10, PC re-imaging, and laptop/desktop hardware.
  2. Intermediate knowledge in:
  3. Local and network printer troubleshooting.
  4. Basic networking and Windows-based server concepts.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  8. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  9. Availability for occasional night/weekend work as needed.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  1. CompTIA A+ Certification (Required).
  2. ITIL Certification.
  3. Certifications in Server+, Network+, MCP, MCSA, or MCSE.
  4. Certifications in Dell, HP, or IBM/Lenovo Hardware.
  5. Associate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent educational background.
