Within AXA Group Operations, Group Technology Operations defines and leads the technology strategy of the Group so that the AXA IT platform enables innovation & growth while ensuring the quality of service, aligned to business-driven priorities.

GTO Teams work together to enable the move from ‘traditional insurer to ‘technology led company’, by:

  1. Providing streamlined, efficient & innovative IT services and products;
  2. Ensuring a consistent customer experience with harmonized processes and a dedicated customer facing;
  3. Being a catalyst of Cloud adoption and industrialization of operations, while optimizing cost;
  4. Managing the AXA IT Platforms, including the implementation of the IT strategy and the definition of the business & application architecture;
  5. Protecting AXA Group Operations employees, assets and data and ensuring security is an integral part of the IT culture and processes;
  6. Driving the IT governance & the execution of the AXA global IT strategy.

PRESENTATION OF THE CONTEXT AND TEAM

Under Distributed and Mainframe, The “One DC” program aims to define and implement the Datacenter strategic plan jointly with the AXA Entities. Aligned with AXA top priorities, the ambition of the program is to define new DC strategy with objectives to:

  1. Reduce the number of Data Centers rooms (more than 100 Regional or Local) after Massive Cloudification executed by the ATLAS Program and reduce the number of technical servers and the surface of attack;
  2. Find alternative due to Data Centers closure in Switzerland;
  3. Reduce the number of technical servers in Local DCs and in Technical Rooms by transforming them from the Cloud or centralizing them in Strategic Data Centers;
  4. Use Pure-player hosting / colocation for Strategic DC, Domestic Hub and Carrier Hotel (colocation but in separate physical independent rooms). Diversify sourcing and ensure capacity flexibility;
  5. Target Data Centers should as much as possible be collocated with carrier hotels, but in separate independent rooms;
  6. Use Satellites as exception for specific regulation requirements and latency (when VDI is not possible);
  7. Close Branch Offices data rooms except for site above 150 users or exceptions;
  8. Privilege global management to reduce surface of attack;
  9. Decorrelate DC Operations (smart hands) & Workloads Operations as separate services, leveraging standardization;
  10. Prefer standard solutions in particular PODs and High Density - related to global product strategy;
  11. Be able to provide the necessary services – expand service catalog including low cost (Dev. Env.).

The main objectives of the ONE DC Strategic Program are:

  1. Have a comprehensive & integrated view on all the One Datacenter topics (DC estate, strategic and local ones, assets hosted);
  2. Help modernize AXA’s aging and heterogeneous legacy DC capabilities;
  3. Create appropriate management reports on the asset data to be able to make informed and accurate decisions;
  4. Help improve efficiency through related new TOM;
  5. Reinforce & structure the stakeholder management & associated governance (with entities) to validate strategy, launch and accelerate the execution;
  6. Allow the different product teams (Workplace, Distributed, Security) focus on the build / run of their platform and on the development of global services, and ensure a consistent approach with entities;
  7. Manage any program updates to senior stakeholders and boards.

POSITION MISSION

The Transformation / Change Management Officer has a strategic position and supports the Program Director in all the dimensions of the program related to Data Centers Target Operating Model definition and deployment, including change management aspects. She / he will be responsible for the following actions:

  1. The Global Target Operating Model for Data Centers definition:
    1. Organize and lead the work with all stakeholders inside AXA GO and inside the Entities allowing to define the new Global Target Operating Model for all Data Centers using new technologies coming from various programs (PODs from ATLAS, ONE Network, ONE Security, etc.).
    2. Conduct specific workshops with Subject Matter Experts to define the Global DC TOM considering:
      1. Privilege global management to reduce surface of attack;
      2. Decorrelate DC Operations (smart hands) & Workloads Operations as separate services, leveraging standardization;
      3. Prefer standard solutions in particular PODs and High Density - related to global product strategy;
      4. Be able to provide the necessary services – expand service catalog including low cost (Dev. Env.).
    3. Produce all the documentation related to the Global Target Operating Model for Data Centers.
  2. The Global Target Operating Model for Data Centers rollout:
    1. Organize Change Management activities to deliver properly the new Global TOM for AXA Data Centers hosting the new PODs defined through the ATLAS Program;
    2. Work closely with other ongoing programs and projects (ATLAS, ONE Workplace, ONE Security, audit remediations …) to secure ONE DC Program objectives;
    3. Identify, train or influence together with the ONE DC Program Director the key stakeholders (inside AXA GO and AXA Entities) to get their commitments;
    4. Maintain / update / centralize the documentation / processes, to ensure accuracy and completeness;
    5. Measure effectiveness of the Global TOM for DC through specific KPIs;
    6. Monitor and report periodically on Change Management actions progresses;
    7. Propose and provide support, guidance and advice for Project / Program managers related to Communication and Change Management aspects;
    8. Share lessons learned and best practices with other programs and projects.

Your Profile

The individual in this position understands the Group business strategy, the Information Systems (IS) of the Group and anticipates future directions of Insurance business and the IT industry to relate them to future business needs and initiatives. He especially has a deep understanding and vision why AXA wants to become a Tech-Led company as One DC is one of the enablers of all Tech-Led pillars (AI & Emerging Technologies, Legacy & Technical Debt, Cloud, Data and Security).

  1. Good knowledge of Application and Infrastructure technologies.
  2. Proven experience in Transformation and Change management activities.
  3. Proven experience in Process definition & improvement and organizational transformation.
  4. Excellent skills in communication.
  5. Understands and articulates the projected direction of the organization and how changes to it might impact the AXA Group.
  6. Is aware of trends in the external environment and key differentiators vis-à-vis competition and uses this information to anticipate how these changes would impact the organization.
  7. PROSCII Certification is an advantage.

Experience

  1. 7-10 years of experience in an IT environment with at least 3 years in Transformation / Change Management roles.
  2. Ideally MBA or Master level qualification in business topics including finance, strategy, change management, etc.
  3. Proven success in working in international complex environments.
  4. Ability to work in tight planning (matrix environment, work with senior executives).
  5. Experience of working with senior leaders, political awareness and stakeholder sensitivity.
  6. Experience in agile way of working highly appreciated (Agile methodology SCRUM or equivalent).
  7. Experience in Process improvement activities / projects (Six Sigma, Lean Management, ITIL, etc.).
  8. Ability to rapidly understand and exercise sound judgement on a range of complex and diverse issues.
  9. Very high level of organization & structure in complex environment.
  10. Pragmatic, solution oriented, with high quality delivery.
  11. Autonomy & ability to prioritize personal workload and deal with potential conflicting priorities.
  12. Ability to win key stakeholders buy-in in a consensual manner and to escalate smoothly to the right governance any significant blocking point.
  13. Ability to adapt rapidly to changes and to acquire new capabilities.
