The Technology Integrity Master owns the end-to-end NPI (New Product Introduction) Phase 1-6 Risk Management & Mitigation process.
S/he drives the Risk identification during NPI Ph1-6, signs-off Risk Assessment & Mitigation during Phase Exits, as well as Design Reviews, Module and Product maturity level (TRL). S/he is the technical oversight for an optimum balance between Business Wins & managing risks during launch. Finally, s/he also drives pro-active Knowledge management across Engineering functions and coaches Teams to increase skills in Risk Management and Mitigation.
Responsibilities:
- Owns end-to-end Risk Management & Mitigation process for new technology developments and mainstream applications.
- Drives standardized risk analysis & ensures appropriate mitigation plans are in place, drives Gap analysis closure (matching product limits, functional targets, customer specs). Aligns Garrett and Customer validation requirements, activities done jointly with R&D Team on-time to Project milestones.
- Signs-off on technology maturity (TRL, MRL, maturity scorecards), Phase Exits, ERR, Release Letters. Measures Reliability / Risk level at milestones using predictive reliability tools.
- Structures Ph1-6 end-to-end validation plan, driving analysis, simulation, component testing and KBD during Ph1-2 Development and validation on Customer last generation engines/vehicles as early as possible during Ph3-5 Commercialization.
- Risk Management Process continuous improvement: Ensures all lessons-learned are formally captured, relevant documents are updated (ExtFA, FMEA, TI, DVPnR...), efficient guidelines/checklists/standard work are defined.
- Problem Solving: Utilizes industry standard problem-solving tools to identify design launch issue root cause and ensure problem resolution.
- Supports Customer escalations regarding all the above.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years engineering experience in an automotive or related environment.
Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean Expert certification is preferred.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Electrical power train system integration skills (mechanical, electrical-electronic, SW, FUSA).
- FMEA knowledge to assess the risks and challenge the action plan proposed.
- Experience leading teams through Root Cause Analysis and 8D sessions.
- Strong leadership profile (facilitator for key project reviews).
- Familiar with Reliability tools (QFD, Ext FA, PRA, Int FA, FTA, P-Diagram, Duty cycles, validation plan).
- Excellent Communication skills (train and coach Team & Platforms on complex processes).
- Ability to organize, document/track actions, and conduct cross functional meeting.
- Must be fluent in English language, written and spoken.
