What you'll do...

As the Team Lead within a squad reporting to the Engineering Manager overseeing the team, you will play a key role in leading and growing a group focused on developing and maintaining our C# and React-based software stack. Your mission will be to drive engineering excellence, implement robust software practices, and ensure the usability, efficiency, and reliability of our decision automation framework encompassing both UI and API components. You will collaborate closely to deliver scalable, impactful solutions that advance our AI-driven Insurtech platform.

More specifically in this role you will:

1. Mentor and support the growth of software engineers within your squad, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
2. Actively participate in code reviews, offering technical guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
3. Lead technical projects, providing direction and fostering innovation to deliver impactful solutions.
4. Take ownership of planning, implementing, and delivering complex technical products, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
5. Adopt a data-driven approach, creating and refining frameworks to measure performance, reliability, and outcomes.
6. Collaborate closely with product management to align technical strategies with business objectives and priorities.
7. Partner with Data Scientists to provide them with effective tools and guidance, enabling timely and successful project delivery.
8. Drive continuous improvement in processes and practices, ensuring the team operates efficiently and delivers exceptional results.

What you Bring...

1. A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in software development, including significant expertise in C# and React.
2. You have some first-hand experience in managing and mentoring teams with a strong emphasis on collaboration and leadership.
3. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively with stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams.
4. You are excited about the challenge of delivering excellent service to our customers.
5. A proactive mindset with a track record of taking ownership and driving innovation.
6. You have experience working with agile methodologies.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to drive multiple projects at a time and prioritize tasks accordingly.
8. You often come up with innovative ideas to find a solution to intricate problems and know how to get your teammates behind them.
9. Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
