They have invested more than $1.52 billion in heart and stroke research, making them the largest contributor in Canada after the federal government. In that time, the death rate from heart disease and stroke has declined by more than 75 per cent. The health promotion and advocacy programs across the country are saving lives every day. Working together, employees, volunteers, donors, and world-class researchers have made Heart & Stroke Canada’s most widely recognized and trusted authority on cardiovascular health.

It is within this context that Heart & Stroke is seeking a strategic, innovative, and results-driven leader to serve as its Senior Vice President, Digital and Information Technology (SVP). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the SVP will play a critical role in shaping the organization's digital and technological future, driving transformation, and enhancing operational performance through data-informed and cutting-edge IT strategies.

As a key member of the Executive Team, the SVP will oversee all aspects of Heart & Stroke’s digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology solutions. This includes leading the development and execution of an integrated digital strategy that aligns with Heart & Stroke’s mission, improving donor engagement, optimizing IT operations, and implementing AI-driven solutions that strengthen the organization’s impact. The SVP will champion a data-driven culture, ensuring insights and analytics inform decision-making across the organization. They will also serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership, ensuring that H&S remains at the forefront of digital innovation while proactively managing risk and compliance.

As the ideal candidate, you are a visionary executive with extensive experience in technology leadership, digital transformation, and IT governance. You have successfully led complex IT initiatives, managed enterprise-wide digital strategies, and leveraged technology and data analytics to drive organizational success. Your expertise in cybersecurity, AI, data governance, and digital platforms enables you to anticipate and respond to emerging trends while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. An excellent communicator and team player, you build strong relationships across functions, engage key stakeholders, and create alignment to move initiatives forward. You lead with empathy, foster trust, and actively contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. An agile thinker who is passionate about using data and technology for impact, you thrive in mission-driven environments and are eager to advance Heart & Stroke’s critical work.
