Our Team:

You will be part of the Global Sustainability team at Opella, reporting to the Head of Sustainability – Social impact and Brand Activation. Our objective is to deliver our ambitious sustainability strategy founded on 2 pillars: Healthier Society, Healthier Planet. Find out more at Impact | Opella.

The Global Sustainability team is led by a CSO (Chief Sustainability Officer) who sits at the ExCo.

Main responsibilities:

The Global Sustainability team is looking for a passionate and motivated Sustainability Intern to join our Global Sustainability Team. This role will focus on supporting our sustainability strategy, as well as assisting with the execution of key initiatives.

General Sustainability Support:

• Assist in the development of diverse sustainability-related projects and tasks as assigned (B Corp certification, environmental topics,…).
• Support the reporting of key sustainability information.
• Support the creation of training materials and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.
• Conduct research on best practices and emerging trends on various sustainability topics.
• Provide administrative support to the Global Sustainability Team as needed.

Social impact & Human rights Support:

• Help develop and implement human rights due diligence and social impact strategies.
• Collaborate with team members including corporate affairs and brand teams to develop a detailed roadmap for executing social impact initiatives.
• Collect and analyze data related to social impact metrics.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

About you

We believe that professionals with the following experience and skillsets are well-suited for this position:

• Education
• Master’s degree in Sustainability field.
• Prior internship experience in Sustainability or in the Healthcare sector is welcomed.

• Communication
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Desired traits
• Highly motivated and detail oriented.
• Trustful team player.
• Proactive and resourceful.
• An open mind, with an ability to pivot and flex as needed.

• Languages
• Professional proficiency in English, both in understanding, speaking and writing. Additional languages is a plus.
