About this Opportunity

The student within this role will be working on enhancing, integrating, and supporting many of the emerging technologies the Employee Collaboration team is responsible for. These include (but are not limited to) Mobility, Cloud Infrastructure, the G Suite platform (Google Apps).

We are looking for team players who possess good communication skills (written and verbal), are able to learn quickly, are self-motivated and take initiative. Technical knowledge and prior development experience would be a desired asset but not necessarily a requirement.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle concepts
• Basic knowledge of Networking Technologies and concepts
• Knowledge of Web Technologies, HTTP/HTTPS, XML, JSON, etc is an asset
• Understanding of cloud computing and networking would be an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Desire to make a difference and solve problems

Activities

• Involvement in the design/development/support of new and existing applications (that relate to the management of both on-premise and cloud platforms - such as Google Apps Script, Google App Engine, Microsoft Azure).
• Assist in the gathering of business and technical requirements and data from source systems, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts & writing specification and support documents.
• Perform routine management/support/reporting tasks as they relate to systems (both out of the box and custom development) under our control.
• Working with other team(s) in system troubleshooting of the problems and support issues.

Education: Currently enrolled in an official University Internship/co-op program completing 3rd year of a Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering program.
