RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Provide O&M engineering support, assistance, and recommendations to ensure delivery of mid to large scale O&M works within time, to budget, and quality following industry best practice and observing the maximum respect for Health, Safety, and the Environment to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.

  • Define the scope of the periodic structures inspection campaigns in the wind farms, above and below water, and all the necessary paperwork to carry out those inspections/maintenance activities (procedures, task cards/task registers, frequency of inspections, etc).

  • Coordinate the related maintenance activities with the offshore site technical teams, attend and supervise part of these activities/inspections to ensure that those inspections are being carried out properly, timely, according to the specifications/procedures, and with the required quality level, along with compliance of the applicable H&S rules.

  • Review and approve the technical reports provided by contractors with the outcome of the inspections and take those outcomes into consideration when updating the inspection/maintenance plans.

  • Liase and coordinate with the appointed certifiers whenever they have to be involved.

  • Implement required actions and prepare necessary reports to comply with regulations applying in each country/region where the wind farm is located.

  • Engage and liaise with engineering companies as necessary in order to improve the condition and monitoring of the structures in the windfarms, leading technical projects as required.

  • Prepare Scope of Works for any structures related tendering process, supporting the Contracts team during the tendering process.

  • Evaluate O&M solutions/risk levels affecting technical integrity or asset performance and give mitigation recommendations to ensure that cost-effective O&M solutions are identified, fully evaluated, and the risk profile can be reduced appropriately by the O&M teams.

  • Implement and supervise the required corrective and preventive maintenance activities to maintain/recover the assets availability/reliability either on his/her own or through contractors.

  • Define, alongside the new Offshore projects teams, the best technical solutions for the new offshore projects under development and construction to guarantee the best performance and maintainability condition after the Commercial Operation Date starts.

  • Coordinate the maintenance strategies with the other Offshore O&M Hubs (UK and USA) to standardize solutions.

  • Manage efficiently the contracts maintenance to strive to reduce the maintenance costs and contribute to maximize the business EBITDA.

  • Implement offshore standards, procedures, tools, best practices, and quality requirements.

  • Provide key and strategic advice, assessment, and recommendations to the business giving input and support to the projects throughout the whole life cycle (development to decommissioning).

EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years of experience in structures design, inspection, and maintenance activities, preferably in the wind or oil and gas offshore sectors.

  • 2 years of experience in contract management.

  • Knowledge of H&S and environmental legislation associated with marine/offshore operations projects.

  • GWO certificates for offshore works.

  • Certain level of fitness for offshore works supported with a medical certificate according to AWMF guidelines.

LANGUAGES

  • English: Bilingual
  • French: Fluent
  • Spanish is a plus
