The Industrial Merchant (IM) business line serves customers from independent professionals to large industrial companies, in a wide variety of markets that are often essential to everyday's life (metals, glass, energy, food, pharma but also research...). It provides them with industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen, argon...) using the supply mode best adapted to their needs (cylinders, trucks, onsite production units...), as well as equipment, hardgoods and services. It constantly invents new applications for its molecules to address the market challenges (energy transition, new uses,...) while contributing to improve the operational efficiency of customers.

The 33, 000 IM employees serve over 2 million customers daily across about 60 countries worldwide.

The IM Word Business Line (IMWBL, 69 people) is a corporate department whose role is to anticipate the markets' trends, technology evolution, competition moves and prepare the organization for the future, to support the performance of the commercial teams in countries.

The internship will take place in the IMWBL team in charge of communications, knowledge management, branding, and IM WBL community animation.

To support our team on a day-to-day basis, we are looking for an intern to take on the following tasks:

  • Manage a program of internal webinars (1-2/month) for IM community (average 200 participants/webinar) : topics selection, speaker preparation, webinar animation, webinar promotion (email campaign, intranet page creation), reporting
    The manager will support the trainee in taking charge of this program progressively.
  • Write content, create and distribute the IMWBL newsletter (4 newsletters/year - 1,100 recipients)
  • Contribute to the internal event organization (monthly & annual meetings) : in collaboration with the manager design events, coordinate actions with external service providers, communicate with employees, monitor the budget.
  • Participate in regular communication missions of the team : content creation for intranet site, videos, external communication

Weekly meetings with the manager will help following up on the missions and workload.

  • Communication or marketing background
  • Eager to learn about internal communication practices and tools
  • Curious, adaptable, creative, rigorous and trustworthy
  • Comfortable to learn/use new digital solutions incl.the Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Drive, Site...)
  • Great team mindset and service oriented
  • Fluent English (working in both FR and EN).
  • Experience in event organization is a plus

Additional informations

Air Liquide has been awarded the Happy Trainees label.

The internship will take place in the Group's historical headquarters in the center of Paris at Quai d'Orsay.
  • Geographical location: France / Ile de France / 75-Paris
  • Desired start date: January 2025 for 6 months
  • Remuneration: Depending on profile (Between 1300€ and 1600€ per month)
