About the location:

Apline chic on the Mont s’Arbois slopes; our modern chalet builds on the legacy of the Rothschild family who set out to create an unrivaled resort experience nearly a century ago. Our first Four Seasons mountain destination in Europe with 55 spacious accommodations including 14 suites, is due to re-open in December 2019 following renovation, and our 2 seasonal operations are December 15 to April 15 and from June 14 to September 30.

As part of the Bakery team in the position of Junior Sous Chef, your mission will be:

  1. Realize and ensure the setup of your section under the supervision of the Head Baker.
  2. Supervise the Chefs de Partie, Demi-Chefs de Partie, Commis, Interns, and Apprentices.
  3. Manage the production of your section and the storage of products.
  4. Place orders and ensure the follow-up of merchandise.
  5. Manage stocks.
  6. Adapt the level of orders based on activity levels and food cost objectives.
  7. Implement and enforce technical sheets and the spirit of the cuisine established by the Head Baker.
  8. Participate in the brainstorming of menus.
  9. Establish, monitor, and control safety and hygiene rules and wear appropriate safety equipment.
  10. Implement the organization and communication that allow production under the best conditions (quality, team spirit…).
  11. Participate in recruitment interviews according to Four Seasons quality criteria and conduct the “Behaviour Based Interviewing”.
  12. Train staff and ensure the establishment of a structure that allows everyone to perform their job and develop.

This list of tasks is not exhaustive. You will be required to perform other duties.
