Responsibilities

1. Design multi-sensor system to enable new products and applications.
2. Experiment and evaluate sensors in various environments such as microphones, accelerometer, gyroscope, ultrasonic time of flight, pressure, magnetometer.
3. Model and simulate sensor data related to mechanical integration such as vibration propagation, filter response, acoustic coupling, kinematics.
4. Experiment and validate best mechanical integration of sensors in a product design.
5. Implement software on top of sensor data to build useful applications.
6. Design and develop maintainable code using sensor fusion or machine learning technique.
7. Oversee product development, data collection, improvement, and testing.
8. Communicate complex technical information and analysis to extended team members and management.

Essential Skills and Experience

1. MSc/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Signal Processing, Aerospace, Mechanical or Similar.
2. 10+ years of experience in a similar industrial context of Sensor Systems, Mechanical Modeling and Simulation, Acoustic, Algorithms, Embedded SW, Testing Equipment.
3. Proven background in signal processing and algorithms (on acoustic sensor, accelerometers, or other sensors).
4. Experience in C language for embedded software production with industrial standards.
5. Familiarity with teamwork SW development tools, GIT, Code Coverage Tools.
6. Mastering fixed-point implementation, limits, traps, and algorithm optimization methods.
7. Proficiency in Python and MATLAB or Simulink.
8. Ability to lead solid innovation, characterize, debug, and evaluate algorithms.
9. Passionate problem solver, autonomous, and team player.
10. Enthusiasm to learn/share new methods and techniques within several technical areas.
11. Excellent English communication and ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.

Reporting & Interactions

1. Direct report to the local manager.
2. Frequent interactions with cross-functional teams including QA, platform, and tools, and with the extended team based in San Jose, California.
3. Bring solid data-driven and experience-driven expertise to our SW Lead for our Business Unit(s). Report progress, advise solutions.
