Main responsibilities:

• Develop high-performance, highly available & scalable applications with a microservices architecture and an understanding of observability.
• Add to our existing services or roll out a new service to support this feature.
• Identify and help troubleshoot issues affecting users in one of our many regions in the world.
• Participate in defining new product requirements and design together with the product team.

About you

Experience:

• Experience in scaling systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
• Practice in performing sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
• Experience working with both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional, interdisciplinary environment.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a strong plus.

Soft skills:

• Must be a passionate communicator, willing to challenge and enhance ideas while preserving relationships.
• Personal ownership of tasks and a tenacious approach to finding and fixing the root cause of issues.

Technical skills:

We have a diverse stack and if you are willing to work with a microservices approach, we are open-minded about your technology preferences. You’ll have the ability to explore new technologies and strategies.

Some of the key tech we use:

• Backends: GraphQL, Node.js
• AWS stack: Lambda, S3, RDS, SNS, and more core services.
• Frontends: React.js
• You don’t have to be a specialist in everything but should be willing to learn.

Education:

• MS in software engineering or computer science or equivalent.

Languages: English, French.
