Context
At Skeepers, we’ve been expanding through the acquisition of several SaaS solutions since 2019, and are now working with exciting, complex products. To strengthen and clarify our strategy, we are looking for a dynamic Product Manager to lead and shape our evolving product vision. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams, streamline product elements, and ensure everything aligns seamlessly with our long-term ambitions.
Your manager and team
You will join a team managed by Sarra, Head of Product in the Product department. Working in the product team means that you are someone with soft skills such as project management and engaging communication. Also, keep in mind that vision and team coordination are core values of the team.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will join a team of three Product Managers working on various products within influence marketing, community engagement, video reviews, and live shopping. Your primary focus will be on advancing our influence marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Planning
- Product strategy and roadmapping: Work closely with senior management to align on product strategy and outcomes. Use executive support to further product and company goals. Create a clear roadmap prioritizing features and initiatives based on user needs and business objectives. Establish key KPIs and success metrics.
- Product performance ownership: Own and drive product performance, including business, client/user, and technical performance, with a strategic view. Align product success with market dynamics, competition, and company strategy.
Product Execution
- Product expertise: Be the go-to product expert, deeply understanding the product in all its details. Present the product clearly and persuasively to various audiences (internal teams, clients, etc.). Identify how the product contributes to achieving business objectives.
- Feature specification: Efficiently gather requirements and formalize them with the appropriate level of detail. Ensure clarity about business outcomes and the success metrics associated with each feature.
- Feature delivery: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to iteratively deliver features according to the predefined roadmap. Lead and facilitate cross-squad meetings and ensure smooth coordination.
- Product quality assurance: Identify, prioritize, and resolve product-related technical, functional, and business quality issues to ensure a high level of product excellence.
- Delivery: Consistently lead and execute the product plan, ensuring seamless communication and reporting throughout. Address unexpected challenges or requests efficiently.
Customer/User Insight
- Customer/user expertise: Be the expert on user personas and customer needs within your product domain. Understand user behaviors in depth and communicate them clearly to the team.
- Competition & market expertise: Collaborate with Product Marketing Management (PMM) to understand and formalize market trends, competition, and user demand. Leverage these dynamics to shape the product strategy and integrate them into the product roadmap.
- Fluency with data: Leverage data-driven insights to make unbiased, fact-based decisions. Conduct thorough analyses to inform product direction and improvements.
- Voice of the customer: Regularly integrate customer feedback from multiple channels into the product development process.
- User experience design: Partner with design teams to define UX requirements and deliver intuitive, user-friendly designs that adhere to UX best practices.
Communication
- Product communication: Communicate product updates and performance effectively to both small/mid-size and executive-level audiences. Tailor messaging to suit different stakeholders.
- Stakeholder management: Work effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including at the executive level. Understand stakeholder expectations, challenge them when necessary, and offer solutions.
Hard Skills:
- Product management frameworks: Mastery of Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Kanban for product development and delivery.
- Data analysis: Ability to work with data to make informed decisions. Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, or BI platforms.
- Technical fluency: Sufficient technical understanding to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, including knowledge of APIs, databases, and modern development practices.
- Roadmapping tools: Proficiency in tools such as productboard, Jira, and other project management software to manage roadmaps and backlogs.
- User research & UX: Deep knowledge of user experience design principles and the ability to interpret user feedback and persona data to guide product development.
Soft Skills:
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to inspire, guide, and mentor cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills to present product strategies, updates, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences, from teams to executives.
- Problem-solving: Proactive approach to identifying challenges and developing creative solutions, especially when dealing with unexpected issues during product development.
- Empathy: Ability to deeply understand customer/user needs, behaviors, and pain points to inform product decisions.
- Influencing skills: Strong ability to influence without direct authority, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and gaining support for product initiatives.
