SENIOR NODE.JS BACKEND DEVELOPER (FULLTIME, REMOTE/HYBRIDE)

We’re expanding our product portfolio and are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js to join our team. In this role, you will help build and scale our cloud service, which provides a marketplace for security solutions and product certification. This is a full-time position with the flexibility to work remotely, hybrid, or in-office from our location in France.

Job Description

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will report directly to the Head of Engineering and be part of an agile, cross-functional team. You’ll take the lead in developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure, APIs, and services that support our platform. Experience with frontend development is a plus, as it will enhance collaboration with our frontend team and ensure a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs to support a highly scalable platform
2. Work with frontend developers to ensure smooth integration and user experience
3. Collaborate with a cross-functional, agile team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
4. Implement robust, secure, and performant solutions in cloud environments

Preferred Experience

1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
2. Backend Expertise: Extensive experience in backend development with Node.js, building scalable, cloud-based services
3. Technical Proficiency:
1. Strong skills in Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, REST APIs, and databases (SQL, MySQL, Postgres)
2. Familiarity with backend frameworks, ORMs (e.g., Sequelize), Git, Docker, and Kubernetes
3. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, SES, SNS) and services like Heroku
4. Frontend development experience (React.js, HTML/CSS, responsive design) is a plus
5. Knowledge of agile practices, version control with Git, and testing frameworks like Jest
4. Cybersecurity Awareness: Understanding of security best practices in backend development

3. Fluent in either French or English, with the ability to communicate effectively in the other language
