Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage comprehensive cloud migration projects, ensuring an efficient transition of database services to cloud environments. This role requires meticulous planning to minimize downtime and a strong adherence to the best practices in cloud security and scalability.
2. Provide robust support for SQL database servers located throughout the EMEA region. This involves rapidly addressing and resolving incidents, managing change requests effectively, performing migrations, and developing disaster recovery strategies that ensure data integrity and continuous availability.
3. Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to identify and solve complex database-related issues. Engage in detailed root cause analysis to prevent the recurrence of problems and to enhance the overall reliability and efficiency of database systems.
4. Architect, implement, and maintain SQL server high availability solutions using AlwaysOn technology. This is critical for maintaining uninterrupted database services and optimal performance through various challenges, including system failures or scheduled maintenance.
5. Analyze and respond to ongoing database needs by collaborating with cross-functional teams. This collaboration is essential to support the evolving requirements of the business and to contribute strategically to long-term IT objectives.
