Contracting Empire is an agency that specializes in providing websites, SEO, local SEO, and ad management services for contractors in the US. As our Marketing Video Content Specialist, you will play a crucial role in converting complex marketing strategies and materials into videos that are clear, easy to understand, and beautifully edited for our audience.
This role demands more than casual experience in video editing; it requires a deep understanding of marketing principles such as value proposition, storytelling in marketing, conversion strategies, basics of SEO, basics of copywriting formulas, and social media dynamics. If your experience is primarily limited to short-form social media content like TikTok or Instagram Reels/Ads, this position may not align with your skills, and your application will not be considered.
Exceptional English communication skills are essential for this role, as you must be able to fully understand and clearly articulate complex marketing concepts. Your deep comprehension of English will ensure that the content is accurately edited and effectively communicate to an English-speaking contractor audience.
Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with our marketing team to conceptualize and produce videos that distill complex marketing concepts into clear, impactful messages tailored for our contractor audience.
Content Production: Edit and produce long-form and short-form video content using Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve, ensuring each piece aligns with our strategic marketing objectives and enhances our brand narrative.
Collaboration: Work with different team members to create visual assets for websites, ads, and social media platforms.
Conceptualization: Develop storyboards, shot lists, and production plans.
Graphic Design: Create and refine images and visual elements that complement and elevate our video content, maintaining consistency across all media.
Motion Graphics and Sound Design: Enhance video projects with sophisticated motion graphics, sound design, and special effects.
Industry Awareness: Continuously update and refine your skills by keeping up with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the video editing industry.
Passion for Digital Marketing: You need to be genuinely excited about digital marketing. Keep up with the newest marketing ideas, SEO, content, and social media.
Minimum 3 years experience: as a Video Editor or Creative Director in an advertising, marketing, or creative agency. A portfolio showcasing your expertise in marketing-related video projects is essential.
Exceptional creative and conceptual skills are crucial for translating complex marketing concepts into compelling visual narratives that resonate with viewers.
Technical Expertise in Video Production: Advanced technical knowledge of video production workflows is essential, including filming, lighting, sound, and post-production techniques.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality video projects on time and within budget.
Adaptability and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Bonus points if you’ve worked with English-speaking clients or have international agency experience.
Five working days per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible schedule - you can start work anytime between 8 - 11 AM. This is a fully remote position, so you can work from anywhere with occasional meetups in Bali.
