In this context, we are building out our legal team, adding foundational expertise in Tax to support our continuous growth.

The position :

As Senior Legal Counsel Tax, you will play a pivotal role in providing guidance on tax-related matters while supporting M&A / corporate initiatives from feasibility studies to post-operation follow-up encompassing due diligence, contractual negotiations, and expert management of external legal advisors.

Your responsibilities will include :

Tax :

1. Offer expert advice on tax-efficient strategies aimed at minimizing tax liabilities and optimizing after-tax returns on investments.
2. Generate and deliver comprehensive tax-related reports for senior management.
3. Validate the accuracy of records and documents related to tax reporting, prepare tax returns, and ensure timely filing.
4. Advise on transfer pricing.
5. Manage relationships with tax authorities, address inquiries, and engage in discussions or negotiations as needed.
6. Identify opportunities and implement strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize the company's tax position across multiple jurisdictions.
7. Establish, maintain, and document effective internal controls for the tax function.
8. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations.
9. Conduct thorough research on tax compliance issues at local, national, and international levels.
10. Manage local tax advisors as needed.

M&A / Corporate :

1. Contribute to feasibility studies for various projects including acquisition operations and disposals.
2. Engage in due diligence processes and otherwise contribute to M&A projects including the drafting and negotiation of contractual documentation.

Educational background, experience, and skills :

1. Completed a higher education in a French university with a strong academic background in tax and corporate law.
2. A minimum of 8 years of experience specializing in tax law and ideally also in corporate law gained both in a law firm and as an in-house practitioner.
3. Demonstrated technical proficiency with a solid track record in international tax law and regulations as well as experience in tax structuring and providing support for M&A / corporate activities.
4. Fluent in French and English.
