Engineering at Evaneos

As Europe’s leading responsible travel company, BCorp-certified, and committed to our “Better Trips” promise, at Evaneos, we strive to develop sustainable, user-friendly, and environmentally conscious digital solutions.

Our tech teams are built around long-term product challenges, following the Impact Teams model with our implementation of the Shape Up methodology.

Our services follow a domain-driven architecture, and we work with PHP, Symfony, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, React, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Our team of 40+ engineers is structured to ensure maximum impact and strong ownership for everyone:

  1. 4 Impact Teams → Create inspiring travel experiences, empowering travelers to co-create their journeys. We also support local travel agencies with tools to boost efficiency and traveler connections.
  2. Platform Team → Empowers developers with greater autonomy, simplifies daily workflows, and offers a self-service platform.
  3. Data Team → Manages the data ecosystem and supports decision-making processes.

Teams define their own ways of working, while aligning on engineering best practices such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), key architectural patterns, and modern development frameworks like Extreme Programming (XP) and Continuous Delivery.

Your Role as Frontend Engineer

Here’s what you can expect from your day-to-day:

  1. Focus on the User: You’ll help identify what users need and find the best ways to solve their problems.
  2. Small, Strong Team: You’ll work with 2 other developers, where quality code and teamwork are top priorities.
  3. Freedom and Responsibility: We trust you to take initiative and make decisions that move the product forward.
  4. Data-Driven Work: You’ll help create ideas based on user data and feedback to make sure we’re always improving.

This could be a great match if

  1. You’re familiar with a modern JS framework and have experience with React and Redux. We’re also migrating to Next.js and React Query.
  2. You’ve used testing tools like React Testing Library, Jest, Cypress, or Mocha.
  3. You’re at ease with TypeScript and like keeping your code clean and efficient.
  4. You’ve worked with a component-driven approach, and you understand how to make components reusable. We maintain two design systems at Evaneos.
  5. User experience is important to you. You’re comfortable working with Figma to create designs for both mobile and desktop.
  6. You believe in team collaboration and enjoy discussing ideas and decisions with others.
  7. You’re someone who brings solutions, asks questions, and keeps pushing for better results.
  8. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and learning from others, whether it’s about your wins or challenges.
  9. You’ve helped mentor junior developers and enjoy supporting others’ growth.
  10. You’re comfortable speaking English, as our team is international.
  11. Bonus: If you’re interested in improving the experience for developers, that’s a big plus!

Salary & Transparency

For this role, the salary range is €58K-65K.

Technical Interview: A 1h30 session, either on-site or via video, where you’ll dig into technical topics with your future team and discuss real challenges ️ 2h.
