About this role
Change is upon us! With new hirings come exciting projects, and the need for more clarity and precision in the way we handle data to drive change within the product at Yubo. You have the opportunity to not only be part of that, but also to lay down the building blocks to significantly improve the Data culture in our teams!
As our first Senior Data Analyst, you will be part of the Tech team, reporting directly to our CTO, collaborating with various teams at Yubo, starting from the infrastructure team to understand and improve our current data infrastructure, to every operational team who can benefit from helping them navigate through their raw data by providing actionable insight.

Your responsibilities
- You will play an integral part in defining data requirements and ensure data pipelines meet analytical needs along with the data engineering team to be able to provide deep-dive analytics and generate actionable insight on topics such as User Acquisition or Product performance.
- As the primary analytical partner for Product, UA and Moderation teams, you will translate business problems into data questions and collaborate with the data engineering team to adapt and improve our current data model to provide deeper insights.
- You will also work closely with data engineers to improve data reliability, accessibility and usability, as well as establish clear processes for requesting new data models or adapting existing ones.
- You will act as a facilitator for discussions and workshops with cross-functional teams to align on KPIs and measurement frameworks.
- You will build and maintain dashboards to provide self-service access to critical KPIs for various teams, and create custom reports when required for different stakeholders on specific areas such as release performance, user acquisition, safety resource utilization…
- To that regard, you will also act as a mentor to train stakeholders on how to use analytics tools effectively, how to interpret data correctly and use the appropriate level of analytics for the need.

Who you are
- You are perfectly proficient with SQL and familiar with other languages like Python for data analysis and scripting for workflow automation.
- You have previously worked in a subscription-based business model and know the ins and outs of the mobile industry and its challenges.
- You are an expert in data visualization and reporting tools such as Looker or Amplitude, and are used to creating and maintaining dashboards used by various teams and leadership.
- You have a strong understanding of event tracking and tools used to that end.
- You have a basic understanding of data engineering and the ability to collaborate on data schemas, transformations and ETL processes. Collaboration with Data Engineers will be a key part of this position.
- You strive to understand the business on a very deep level and provide highly relevant insight to both operational teams and leadership.
- As our first Data Analyst, you are capable of defining the building blocks to the analytics functions and take ownership of the role.
Within a month, you will
- Be familiar with existing data models, dashboards and tools (with the data engineering team’s guidance).
- Have audited existing Dashboards and Reporting.
- Have built relationships with your main stakeholders, understood key business goals for Product and User Acquisition as their primary data partner.
- Have identified critical KPIs for each department and any gaps in data coverage and reporting.
Within 3 months, you will
- Have built and/or enhanced dashboards for your main stakeholders in the Product and UA team.
- Have begun training stakeholders on dashboard usage and data interpretation.
Within 6 months, you will
- Have a significant impact on revenues, discovering some hidden truths in data that no one has seen until now.
- Have implemented reporting dashboards to track the performance at company level (OKRs or equivalent).
- Have defined and spread data-driven culture among the company.
