Our regenerative agriculture program rewards farmers for their climate improvements, and we work with local and global players to develop low-carbon, resilient value chains. Our corporate partnerships focus on transitioning supplier farms to regenerative agriculture, reducing Scope 3 emissions, and driving environmental and societal benefits.

Your Role
As a Senior Business Developer, you will be pivotal in navigating high-stakes sales processes and driving growth in the sustainable agriculture sector. You will engage with multiple stakeholders in large organizations, align diverse interests, and deliver integrated, scalable solutions that address sustainability challenges.
Your role spans strategy, relationship management, and solution crafting, demanding a consultative and value-based approach to meet the nuanced needs of corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Opportunity Creation & Closing
Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities. Lead end-to-end sales cycles, including proposal development, contract negotiations, and deal closure.
- Strategic Account Management
Develop and nurture high-value relationships with large corporate clients, focusing on multi-layered, long-term partnerships.
- Complex Solution Selling
Lead discovery sessions to deeply understand client ecosystems, pains, and sustainability goals. Translate insights into bespoke solutions in collaboration with internal technical teams.
- Stakeholder Alignment
Navigate client organizations to engage decision-makers across procurement, sustainability, and executive teams, ensuring broad buy-in and alignment.
- Market Intelligence
Stay ahead of trends in carbon standards, regulatory drivers, and supply chain dynamics, particularly in Europe, to position Soil Capital as a trusted advisor in the field.

Experience & Expertise
- Track Record in Complex Sales
Proven ability to close large, consultative deals involving multiple stakeholders in sectors like food, agriculture, or sustainability.
- Strategic Problem Solver
Adept at dissecting intricate problems and designing tailored, value-driven solutions.
- Technical Knowledge
Expertise in agriculture, environmental science, or supply chain management. Familiarity with carbon standards and Scope 3 dynamics is encouraged.
Skills & Traits
- Influential Communicator
Exceptional ability to connect, influence, and build trust with senior executives and cross-functional teams. - Collaborative & Agile
Skilled at cross-departmental collaboration and comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments. - Bilingual Advantage
Fluency in French and English is required; other European languages are a plus.
